Professor Wong is a Justice of the Peace, Vice-Chairman of the Town Planning Board, member of the Advisory Council on the Environment, and member of the Road Safety Research Committee of the HKSAR Government. He was member of Transport Advisory Committee from 2004-2010 and Harbour-front Enhancement Committee from 2007-2010. He also served as a member of the Tuen Mun Road Traffic Incident Independent Expert Panel in 2003, and a member the Expert Panel on Sustainable Transport Planning and Central - Wan Chai Bypass in 2005.
